The match also included probably one of the best pieces of fielding ever from Nicholas Pooran.

The Delhi Capitals held their composure under pressure in their opener to defeat Punjab. Marcus Stoinis scored a brisk half-century from only 21 balls. He followed that with a solid bowling performance to force a Super Over.
Kagiso Rabada claimed two wickets to dismiss Kings XI for only two in their innings, and the Capitals knocked off the winning runs with ease to get off the mark.
Hyderabad hold the edge over Delhi in their 15 meetings to date, winning nine of the contests. However, the Capitals were the better side last season, defeating Sunrisers in the post-season in their Eliminator game.
Prithvi Shaw was on form to secure the victory for his team by scoring a half-century in their run chase. It promises to be close match, but the Capitals will win a tight one.

The two sides have played out 21 matches in the history of the IPL and nothing separates them in the win column. Both teams have won 10 matches apiece, while one contest in 2015 was abandoned.
Depending on the outcome of their clash against Sunrisers, Kolkata may be feeling the pressure at this point to get off the mark. They will not want to be heading into the fourth game of their season without a win.
Rajasthan appear to be well balanced unit this term. Archer and Tom Curran with the ball can provide control, with the former operating close to his best.
Jos Butter could be available by that point, although Ben Stokes will likely be absent once more. The presence of Buttler will swing the balance in our cricket tip for the contest for the Royals to take the win.

We will know a lot more about Punjab after their clash against the Royals, but their opening two matches have been impressive. They took a quality team in the Capitals to a Super Over and brushed aside RCB with ease.
Whether they are up to the challenge of taking on the Indians is another matter. Mumbai are a model of consistency and will not be easily budged from top spot.
It will take something special to beat the Indians In the 26 matches the two sides have played, Mumbai have won 20 compared to the six of Punjab.
Kings XI did end an eight-match losing streak last season, but the Indians got the better of them in their last outing by a nine-wicket margin. Most cricket betting sites are seeing this as the most one sided match of the week. Expect Sharma and company to be on form again.

The two sides have the quality to reach the IPL final, and it could well be a dress rehearsal or at least prequel to a playoff encounter. Chennai have an ageing squad, but it does mean that they’re blessed with experience.
Their bowling unit in the pace department has been exposed at times, although Sam Curran has been excellent thus far. They will have be flawless to compete with a good Hyderabad outfit.
Sunrisers do need their spinners to come to the fore to cope with a veteran line-up. All eyes will be on Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi to deliver in the middle overs. Bairstow and David Warner lead up top, and the former has been in great touch of late.
However, past performances suggest that Chennai emerge out on top after winning nine of their 12 meetings. There should not be much in the game, but we back Chennai for the win.
